| | So, a lot has gone down on the G-Parents front.
My G-Parents seem to be getting older and older with each passing day, and it is def becoming more apparent. A few nights ago my G-Ma had to be rushed to the emergency room for gull bladder surgery. It wasn’t a terrible operation, but still, she had to leave my G-Pa alone for several day. My G-pa is ninety three. It isn’t really a good idea to leave him by himself. So, on Friday, I went and stayed the night with him. It was an easy enough night. I literally just sat there (though I did finish the second VHD book! Woo!). He was rather cute, though. At midnight he said, “Kristy, I think it’s time to put on your pajama’s and go to bed.” I haven’t been told to go to bed in forever! It was also cute hearing him explain their carbon monoxide detector, in which he stated, “Now if this goes off, which it won’t, but if it does, all that means is that you need to get some fresh air, alright?” I was like, “OK, G-Pa!” ^.^
All the emo happened the next day, though. I was sitting in the living room when I heard him talking on the phone to his friend. There’s something really heartbreaking about listening to your G-Pa talk about how he can’t cut it on his own, and asking his friend if he’d visit him in a nursing home. I left with my sister to do stuff shortly after, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of guilt I had. I felt so bad for feeling burdened by going over to watch him, and I felt even worse because I know that he felt guilty about making me stay, and I felt even MORE worse because I know that I wasn’t much help to him. :/ Since then, things have been sort of a big mess figuring out who is going to take care of them and such. *Sigh* Poor guys… L G-Ma’s home now, and he never ended up going to a nursing home.
But, on a much happier note, I happened into Big Lots the other day (which must be fate), and happened to see they had a HUGE DVD sale. And guess what? THEY HAD ANIME! ALL FOR THREE DOLLARS! *A* I dove in like a mad woman! I came out with Tide-Line Blue, Black Blood Brothers, Flag, MEMORIES, Speed Grapher three and four, Detective Conan (for either Erms or Amandar), and Spice World (on DVD! :D). All together, it was like, twenty eight dollars! For all of it! HEAVENLY EXCSTACY! I watched two of the four episodes of Tide-Line Blue, which actually isn’t a bad little series. It’s pretty entertaining so far. I also watched the first episode of Black Blood Brothers (which I found out is based off a light novel), and it was also pretty good. I have yet to see any of the rest, though. I did finish Amanda’s Saiunkoku DVD. I loved it!!! Shuurei and Ryuuki are so damn cute, together!!! >//<
In OTHER good news, a friend I haven’t heard from in YEARS (since the third grade) friended me of Facebook! I was so excited!!! It’s so cool to interact with people you haven’t seen in forever!!! I missed her!
And, I hope to hang out with Jen tomorrow. And Amanda is apparently taking me to tour a college. Life getting on track? I sure hope so. I hate it when I feel useless…
